Kelly has been dedicated to animal rescue for over 20 years when she first adopted her cat Vivian from the ASPCA in New York. As the Co-Founder and President of Paw Prints in the Sand, Kelly oversees all business operations, PR and marketing and fundraising initiatives. Prior to Paw Prints in the Sand, Kelly volunteered and fostered for various animal rescues. Kelly also owns and operates a public relations company and uses her professional experience to raise awareness on issues such as spaying and neutering, shelter overpopulation, animal abuse, and responsible pet ownership. She continually works to build relationships and awareness on animal-related issues in an effort to change current laws and save more lives.
Monica is an avid animal lover and activist with over 20 years of experience in animal care and behavior. As the Co-Founder and Treasurer of Paw Prints in the Sand, Monica oversees operations, adoptions and financials.
Prior to Paw Prints in the Sand, Monica operated as an independent rescue volunteering her time to rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned kittens, puppies and wildlife. She also volunteered with R.E.A.L. Rottweiler Rescue, Empire Rottweiler Rescue, GEPDA/Righteous Rotties Rescue and I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue among others. Monica is dedicated to bringing awareness to issues such a responsible pet ownership, pet rehabilitation and breed specific legislation.
Stephanie has always had an affinity for animals. She began her involvement in animal rescue in high school as a volunteer dog walker at a local animal shelter and with private rescues in college. She privately rescued and tamed feral kittens and worked with rescue organizations where she provided sanctuary to many different types of animals from dogs and cats to various wildlife.
As the Foster Coordinator at Paw Prints in the Sand, she assists in its foster program. Her responsibilities include overseeing the care of foster pets in the rescue, foster recruitment, and foster parent relations. Prior to Paw Prints in the sand, Stephanie volunteered for a private Equine rescue where she oversaw the rehabilitation, enrichment and training of the equine residents.
